So are you asking which one you should get?

If so, then thats something your gonna have to decide yourself.

Since they're pretty much the exact same monitor, besides the size, it all comes down to whether you think the extra 1.5", that the 2693 has, is worth another $100.

Then I think I'll go with the Samsung 2693HM then. If it's not worse or suffering from any kind of diseases, such as ghosting problems etc. :)

SyncMaster 2493HM would look better imo, although the extra screen-space might mean more to some. The smaller dot pitch with the same resolution as the larger monitor would provide higher clarity... if your visually acute.
