Can any one tell me if this is a good gaming surface? Also please let me know how it holds up over time. Thanks,

I'd like to know also. What's the surface like too? Is it cloth or solid.

It's in my cart @ the Razer store, but I'd love to get a comparison between the eXactMat and this. Especially considering it's quite a bit more and I really love the old EM from 3-4 years ago. Oh wow it's old...

I have an exactmat and it's nice, but hard surfaces aren't friendly to mouse feet. I still can't find replacements for my Lachesis.

Check hyperglides. I got 2 pairs for the MX518 and Deathadder. They should have them in soon.

Egg has it, (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826999030&Tpk=destructor) but I ordered from Razer for free ground shipping.

You have lots of issues with the mouse jumping around on that? Mine goes nuts periodically, even with their vaunted new firmware.

So did you get this pad? Or are you still waiting for a comparison? Let us know how it turns out if, when you get it.

$28.50 (http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=207561903&listingid=21451446&dcaid=17902) from buy.com. That'll teach me to buy from Razer, lol. Egg has it for $50+ if you plan on having it delivered. I got in on the Ikari for cheap shipping too.

It is bigger. The metal frame around the EM cuts off some space. Also the D's sides form a much straighter line than the concave EM.

So far it's definitely more precise in Vista and sliding nicer too. :D I'll give COD4 a go later tonight...

Looks like a really nice pad. However, I personally like solid colors on my mouse pads. Thanks for taking the nice pics.

Original firmware didn't like it, new firmware fixed it.

A friend of mine needed only windows to tell him the Destructor tracks better w/ his DA than the aging and small func archetype. No metal crap to get in the way like the eXactMat or func borders. I ordered 2 and sold 4 buds on it. Haha, such is thee that liketh the mousing surface!

It's like the surface pushes up on the mouse akin to air hockey, but not that cool. :D

I was looking at one of the but I can't justify spending more on a mouse pad after I just bought a new RocketFish one. I actually put my mouse on an air hockey table once. It was pretty cool but alas it didn't fit on my desk.

That would be like me telling you I can't justify buying a GX2 even tho I have a new GTS. :D My bud has a rocketfish (best buy brand, right?) and digs on it.

I do wish the pad was of metal and kept my hand cooler, but the tracking increase from eXactMat to Destructor and of course the larger, thinner "hockey table" top...well, I bought 2 and sold 3 at work, heh. I told them both to work for it and both guys had sold their old pads!

We don't get really nice input upgrades as often as a major speed component inside the case. It's nice to get more "in tune" w/ the machine. :D Kinda like given up the iPod Nano for a Sony NWZ-a720. Sure, they're both fun, but only one has that xtra killer overkill we all desire so much. ;D
