Looks like Newegg is really gouging prices on PSU's, these are just a couple of examples. I guess they are relying on their reputation to keep people from shopping around.

They have always had higher Corsair PSU prices than almost everyone. If you don't like it just buy it from somewhere else. ZZF usually has the best prices on Corsair PSU's.

The difference is $31 or about 20% and I'd say that was definitely gouging.

Not so much a deal or a steal, but it is definitely related to pricing. I would say ZZF's deal on the Corsair PSU is a steal, considering the price after MIR.
Where else would someone put this info, in the BIOS section.....???

This number goes up as more people click the link.

Newegg has a counter on each item that increases its price as the hits on the querry increases.

This way if its a rare item, its kept pretty competitive, while if its an item everyone wants, which is highest chance to sell out, that nice little program makes then get the most profit.

Personally always double check prices, you cant trust the egg no more on hot items, or new items.

Yah yah, shop around. Complain. Whatever floats your boat. The egg has a solid rep, fast shipping, and good customer service sometimes that is worth 20% extra. Depends on the day and the bottom line.

Most people with a notion to buy from the egg to begin with should have the basic common sense of shopping on the net and price their parts accordingly if they so desire.

This probably belongs in speak freely or WF&G.

Yep, best prices for people who DON'T live in Silicorn Valley or California for the most part. Otherwise us Silicorn Valley people get raped with taxes along with the pricing. You lucky dogs who live outside of CA and TN and I forgot the third state the Egg does business in but we get raped with taxes.

I remember the early days of the Egg, they were fast and I would get my items within 3 days or less. Now it takes me up to 5-7 days or even more to get a package from the Egg. They've been price gouging everything popular lately, if it's popular increase the price!!! Otherwise I shop local and closer to me, ZZF & eWiz ftw!
