I dont mean to be rude, but I've read that many 2x 2GB kits do not run in spec

Why is this so? If that's true for a particular kit, that's a valid reason for RMA, right?

I'm asking this in OCZ section, since I'm deciding between the

OCZ OCZ2RPR10664GK 4GB PC2-8500 (DDR2-1066)
or a similar geil or g.skill
hopefulyl running it at 1333

and wish to support ocz, since the whole s939 plat rev 2 era

thanks,

Hello,

I am not quite sure I undersand the question. You certainly will not get 1333 MHz on the memory with 2 x 2GB or 4 x 2GB.

1066 with 2 x 2GB is not an easy thing and will not work on just any board, but yes if you have the right equipment and they do not run at 1066, then it is reason for RMA.

I can tell you that the OCZ reapers 2x 2gb do run at spec on the Gigabyte Ga-X48-DQ6. Just built a new quad core system and they run great!
