hey guys, im really unfamiliar with onboard graphics and stuff so I need your help

my friend needs a PC that he can use to browse the web, store music, and watch videos.

I dont know if onboard graphics are good enough for 1080p.. but list some good onboard chipsets anyways. OC is not neccessary for him

he needs a decent hard drive, probably 300gb

what are some cheap ass motherboards that do not have onboard graphics? and what cheap card that can play 1080p should i buy?

kind of clueless on what proc to get.. a cheap dual core obviously

im going to give him a set of ddr2 800 corsair ram that im using, it currently is at microcenter for like $27 so its not really a loss, whats a good ddr2 800 4gb kit i should get myself?

whats a good cheap small case with a decent psu in there allready? speaking of which are there any matx intel motherboard with onboard?

prolly going to sell my westinghouse 22" lcm22w3 to him for $200. seems like a fair price for a nearly new screen ( no defects, and no dead pixels)

so motherboard and cpu should be like $150 max im guessing.. case like $30(probably going to get something with a psu in there), $15 cd drive, $200 monitor, and like $10 for keyboard/mouse

so i think i can do it with $450?

also what cheap but decent speakers?

$150 for a decent CPU + motherboard w/ good IGP is pushing it a bit.

For $169 @ newegg, you can get a combo with an X2 5000+ (2.6GHz) and an ASUS 780G board. 780G is the best IGP that you can get at this point and will be great for 1080p movies, light gaming, etc.

G33 mobo + C2D E2xxx is a good deal for 150$ but i agree with Extelleron, 5000+ and 780G is probably a better combo choice
