I've got another thread posted to find a local phase builder to re-tune my unit, but I'm not hopeful on finding someone local to me in the UK.

So... what would be involved in tuning the load of my unit currently set for Core2 E6700 to cope with a QX9650. Do I just need to change the pressure of the gas inside the system? If so, what do I need to ask a local refrigeration engineer to do?

My unit consists of:
NL11F Compressor
Chilly1 Condensor (also Chilly1 Evap, Cap Tube and suction)
R402a gas

Thanks for your help :)

I don't think a local refrigeration shop will help you :-/

Well my (limited) understanding is that more refrigerant needs to be added while the unit is working under full load, until the temperature won't go any lower. So I just need to find someone local that has R402a to add to my compressor? Where should I be looking?

Give me a PM, just in from work and bit tipsy but will have a chat and see.

No real reason if that unit is tunned to 260w already it wont do the job.

Oh and update ya profile, makes life and being a member here so much easyer

Try it FIRST.A cap tube system has the ability to adjust to different loads to a degree.

Hook it up and measure sub-cooling and superheat. You will need to read pressure on the high and Low sides along with temperature.

Do know what ya asking of him here don't ya? 1st he has to get the gear to do it then know how to fit and not let the charge out. The last unit i fixed the guy said he did this and unit was empty

No, but i have learnt everything on the basics and some advances from ya self and others here. Then i gave it a go my self and 1st did C02 as if i let any out i wouldn't be creating much of an issues. Once i felt safe enough i used R404a and now im full confident
