Popping/snapping in speakers

Using an Auzentech Prelude and a 2.1 Altec Lansing set of Speakers/sub.

I keep getting popping when listening to music/games/streaming audio.

So I am looking for suggestions as to get it to stop, or maybe new speakers if nothing else works.

How can I eliminate the card as the problem if possible?

Eliminating the sound card is easy...

Just use a different source ( a portable CD player for example ).
