I put down 3 strips on the bottom of my board for insulation and i got most of it off but some is stuck to it in small pieces or the stringy pieces are stuck along with the sticky residue in some spots, what can i use to "scrub" it?

Did you use mastic seal string?

i honestly dont know what the name is, it came in a roll and was soft like neoprene on one side and sticky on the other, gomeler told me to lay down a 4x4 square on the back for insulation.

Mastic is tar based. You can remove it with a solvent. You need to be careful because some solvents work great for dissolving the tar but will also eat the mother board. If you cant get it off with rubbing alcohol you could try paint thinner. But test in small areas!

Aramflex tape. God why has this topic gotten to be so anal. I give in

Peal as much off as you can, it's gonna suck and get messy.

Once all off, get the IPA, then soak it and rub it off
