What are you plans for the LCD?

Maybe take a picture of the inside of your case from the same perspective as the monitor, and convert the picture to inverted black and white. Would look like an x-ray.

first cut out now time to clean it up ...4" from the top to keep it from my rad and 11/2" from the side to it off the rear fan .

time to wire up the power inverter board and put this case back together ....

rustoleum paint from home depot . i have sprayed cases before with car paint but the over spray from my gun kills my garage ....

my cutting was so tight it didn't leave room for the other bracket that bolts to the monitor . so i will have to do some more light grinding . more pics comeing tomorrow probly . everything is cleaned up nice but i am wait for some c-molding to cover up the edge before the final install and testing .

so you sanded it down rough, primer, then how many coats black? did you add some clear protection layer too?
I picked one up too and I'm debating to sell it to pay for my Stacker 830:confused:

heydo6

they don't sell very well ... to many out there i guess . i don't care for the 830 because theres not really enough room for my rad . the case is very nice other then that .

i did some light sanding with 320 and primed and painted (one coat) no clear . i really didn't want a new case but it is so much fun putting them together .

i finished the stealth drive , pics up as soon as my pump comes in tommorow and i get power back to my rig . painted the back of the lcd to match the inside of the case . all i need to do now is pick up some very small bolts to finish ( i didn't have enough) . pics up very soon ....

I got the case for $52.99. I stripped the case. Then I sanded, primed and painted the chassis Rustoleum gloss black. I didn't learn how to paint until I started doing the hd racks, hd bracket and 3.5 rack. This case is tall, wide, and deep. I'm probalbly going to strip my Lian Li PC-V1100B down and put all the parts on the Rocketfish case. I think all of my Lian Li parts are going to fit this case. The window costs $49.99 which is almost as much as I paid for the case! If you can get this case on sale I recommend it. When you see the huge box @BB the modding side of your brain is going to see the potential for this case. I will try to do a buildlog for my project. Thanks and good luck to everyone on their projects!

Why aren't you just posting the actual pics w/o you weird picture-viewer?
I mean, first time I have seen doing somebody something like this. :D

Impressive stealthing on the DVD drive.

I'm just failing to see the importance, seeing as how the drive will be hidden when the door's closed ... :p:

Here is a pic of my project. The paint is not 100% correct but if I sand and paint anymore I'm going to lose the use of my left hand.. I got my new res today, but I am waiting for the new window. The case was super easy to strip. No rivets to remove... When I move my W/C setup into the case I will post more pics.

Well, you have the jpg already, so just upload the jpg.
So don't open the pic with a viewer to make a jpg of the pic in the viewer, which results in a jpg with the viewer of the jpg, of which you already have the jpg. :D

Sounds weird, right?

i trimmed the sides of the face plate , then used a thick piece of plastic and glued it on . i used silicone to glue it on , so it won't hurt my dvd rom for the next case .
