View Full Version : Hooking up 2 sets of CCFLs to one switch?

Hello All,

I have two sets of CCFLs that I am going to be putting in my MM UFO case and I was hoping to hook up both sets of lights to the expansion slot switch that comes with the CCFL kit.

My concern was connecting 2 cold cathode inverters to one molex and one switch. I am guessing I can just splice the red and black wires on the second CCFL inverter to the red and black on the first CCFL's switch.

I didn't know if there would be some wierd voltage or current thing I needed to worry about. (<--- college circuits class was almost a decade ago).

I did't want to damage the inverter or lights.

Thanks for your help!

It'll work fine and won't damage the lights. Splice the wires like in the diagram I have below:

Yeah, the way netburstxE designed will work very well

Not to thread jack here, but could you also hook up the wires to just a rocker switch? Instead of using the expansion slot switch, use my own?
