Love the location of the LED's, about time someone put them there.
Looks good, 2 part then glued togther?

Yes.
It is machined so close the glue didn't penetrate all the way. The next one I will apply the glue before I assemble it.
I may try to cast it, but I'm not sure how strong the tube part would be.
It would be easy to make it thicker in the cast but it would take away some of the insulation.

Nice, makes it cheap to make too, flat plate top with a ring, then a tube that you have to cut. I Like.

hey 2long4u: only resemblance is how they both hold down a CPU, so i guess you copied all enclosures :p:
great work mate! what glue are you using? i highly recomend weld-on #4 or so. Less bubbles. You need to sand it completely flat to avoid those bubbles. They are not noticeable though...

The only similarities are that it it is clear and has LEDs. He was creative enough to make one, that is all that matters.

It's not actually glue it more of a solvent. Kinda like acetone.

yep, the same thought here.. although i understand XS limitations to manage copies and so of unit designs ,and that in this case it is not intended to be sold; ain`t it seen bad by the rest of the community??
take this example: chilly1 evap: instead of making a copy of his evap without even asking him, wouldnt it be more polite/gentle or what ever to ask him?? Do not know if he asked ssilencer as I am not his partner or something similar. I just respect his work and love what he does with the little resources available in our country
Uh-oh, its the SSilencer fan club.
its the : I respect people creativity and craftsmanship club... why are you so ironic and mean?? Is there any need??

I am not mean. It just that every post I see of yours, it is :worship: SSilencer. AFAIK he doesn't have an international copyright or trademark on clear plexi with LEDs.

SSilencer's mounts only on one socket, LGA 775. If anything I got the design from this. I told Eric I wanted one shaped like the swiftec with a different curve on the side. I think its nothing like SSilencer's :P

What are you going to use as insulation around the evap? What evap are you planning to use?
[XC] 2long4u

Maybe a 2 part epoxy insulation. I will have to look into it.

Sweet!:D
Like Adam said, easy to manufacture and thats always a plus:yepp:
It would be a real beoych to polish the finish marks out of a circular interpolation for I.D. or O.D or turning for that matter.
Well done !

The dull finish is a plus since clear won't reflect the light from the LED's.
I was thinking on making the bottom dull so the whole thing would glow. I will have to find somebody with a sandblaster tho.

True enough if everyone is down with LED's, if not it looks like what it is. Rough:shrug:

Relax dude, I'm talkin surface finish. I dont talk crap! Where the pc was machined, the finish is rough. sorry, it just is. ie drilled holes and groove for tube. A polished surface there would be a pain in the rear, been there done that. Kinda thought i said i liked it:shrug:
