Hey all..

Im about to order my WC parts in a day or so.. and need some advice on which block to get... This is my current order: ( Have sent Quoc an email, just need to confirm )

1x D-TEK FuZion Universal CPU Waterblock OR Swiftech Apogee GT:

1x Swiftech MCR220-QP Dual 120mm Radiator (DT):

10x 7/16" ID (5/8" OD) Masterkleer Tubing:
4x 120mm Yate Loon D12SL-12 Blue LED Case Fan:
1x Laing D5 Vario/MCP655 12V DC Pump:

10x Herbie Clip® Nylon Hose Clamp Size F – Black:

4x 120mm FilterRight Aluminum Fan Filter – BLK:

So now i need your guys opinions on what to get.. Im not gonna add any nozzles (d-tek) or bow the apogee GT.. so both at stock..

Whats the expected temp difference im gonna find cooling JUST a dual core.. e4400..

If its only a few degrees i don't think i can justify a d-tek fuzion then...

Thanks..

Fuzion hands-down... You should have the option to add the nozzles kit later if you need more performance ;)

Yeah i know but i would like to know the temp difference..

Please don't just tell me fuzion will win obviously.. but temp difference i could just save $$ if im only cooling a dual core?

i've tested both of them. fuzion is a bit better.

2-4c.
If you have the gt, keep it.
If you don't have anything, buy a fuzion

lol 2-4 degrees????

2 degrees in my books is nothing 4 and above seems something...

anyways.. IF i buy a apogee GT could i buy some d-tek high flows instead of the plastic stuff?

also guys.. what does the pro mount really do to the fuzion? any difference?

Its just better mounted on the motherboard. Nothing about performance.

Not to thread crap, but the difference between 0-4c in watercooling has no effect on overclocking, unless you are hovering around the cap of what your cpu can take in terms of heat.

My bowed gt cools my b3 x3210 (3520mhz 270watts) to around 39-42c idle and 57-61c load.
If I forked over $60 right now for a new fuzion, I would get 4c in temp differences, if that, but no difference in overclocking potential.
If I were to purchase a new block, I would get a fuzion, but if you already have a good block, there is almost no reason to upgrade outside of just wanting something new and cool

In your case I would get the fuzion

when i had the apogee GT, i used d-tek high flow barbs on it. they fit like a glove and made the block look wayyy better then the plastic barbs.

aiight awesome stuff.. did it improve any temp difference compared to stock ones? 1 degrees?

.00001 degrees more likely. They are only much better quality, being metal.

ok guys.. mounting the apogee GT is it possible to mount it vertically and NOT horizontally like this?

http://www.virtual-hideout.net/reviews/Swiftech_Apogee_GT/index2.shtml

i would like to know if you could mount it vertically

You should be able to mount it either way....provided the MoBo your using doesn't have a forest of MOSFET heatsinks preventing it.

That is really where the pro mount for the FuZion really shines. ;)
