It looks like with Safari is the first browser to achieve 100/100 in Acid3 with the help of Webkit r31342 (http://trac.webkit.org/projects/webkit/changeset/31342).
Read (http://webkit.org/blog/173/webkit-achieves-acid3-100100-in-public-build/) the article for more details.

Safari on Windows sucks. v3.1 is in no way stable.

Although, it does everything fast. Hogs the memory fast, crashes fast, makes me annoyed fast. So far so good ...

That's a shame the XP version is so problematic. I've been using Safari 3.1 on Vista x64 for the past week and it's a rather smooth experience, although still devours RAM like a fat kid on cake. Good thing I haven't gotten around to putting it on my laptop with XP.

The new webkit is very speedy on my macbook, I like it alot. Firefox 3 beta is still my preference right now, but I've been consistently switching between the two, I don't pic favorites

Safari on windows sux. Opera on windows was and is fast. But opera sux, it's annoying to use. There's a ton of web browers to use, pick a few and find something better to grip with. At least with Safari, there's a nightly build that IS usable. And the webkit team encourages users to use and report problems. Hmm, not many use Safari, a fewer practice helping out this dev team to find flaws. Imagine if Safari had a higher percentage of users, like mozilla's stake, or IE's?

Hopefully Safari, and the rest of these browsers get better, so that all users are happy and hopefully the people behind the scenes keep gettin paid.

And do you think that with this 100/100 Safari is the best browser?

How do you beat a 100/100 on the Acid3, other than matching it? I have a feeling it won't be a very reliable benchmark because all the new browsers are in heavy beta testing stages, and they will all be made to score 100/100 on it, and if they all score 100/100, it's hard to tell what the best is.
