A.) 4 phases, 2 mosfets for upstream and 2 mosfets for downstream on each phase.

B.) 6 phases, 1 mosfet for upstream and 2 mosfets for downstream on each phase.

Let's discuss. :clap: :clap: :clap:

which is more stable?
which has less vdroop?
which has greater potential for extreme overclocking?
which has lower temperature under the same power going through?

assuming the same materials being used.

And why you omitted 2 phases and 8 phases setups?
Well, I can answer you :rolleyes:

It's just because the number of phases and repartition won't change a big thing. The quality of the components plays a bigger role. Probably, 2-4 phases high components are more efficient than +8 phases low quality setups.

I fully agree, I heard also that some mobo manufacturers claim 8 phase while there isn't really 8 phase on the board...
