I have a phenom on a m3a, installed sp1 when it was released and the only problem i have is i can't seem to get verizon games on demand to work, which isn't really a big problem cuz it's just for the kids, and i have xp on their systems. I just get a hard lock up and i blame sp1 because it has some compatibility issues with certain programs. I have been disabling the tlb-patch with the R-w bat at startup and it works like a charm. I really enjoy the fact that there's another dead head on these forums. Best show i can remember, i'm only 33, so i didn't have to much time to follow them, was up in Buffalo,NY , campin out on everyone's lawn was a blast.

Haha ....I used to live up in Wilkes Barre, PA back in the 80's and one of the best Dead Shows I have seen was in July 1990 up at Rich Stadium, Buffalo, NY right before Brent Mydland died;)

was that the one with steve miller, cuz if soo i was there, I had an excellent time at that show. I'm in scranton , it was always a nice drive up to rich stadium, good luck with vista , it's been runnin good for me so far, everything is stock though, i don't want to risk losing my raid

I was really hesitant because I had a stable working system to 2.5ghz but thought what the heck. With Sam2008's fix I have had no problems. Although I haven't really seen any performance benefit from SP1. File transfers etc are better but I don't do much of that anyway.
It's up to you but it's relatively painless and you can always uninstall it (I think)
@ aussie: nice ram overclock.. you use 4x1gb do you?

Yep.
Funnily it wasn't that great until I got the Phenom.
It used to take 2.4v to hit 1066 with a 6400, now I boot at 1066 with 1.8v.
Just shows how much better the new imc is in K10.
It runs at 4-4-4-12 to ~1000mhz and 5-5-5-18 at 1100. Gives up at ~1150.
The IC's are D9gmh.
I've been really happy with TX ram I've been using it since 2005 and only ever had to RMA one set of UCCC with no hassles.
good news...
perhaps i get mine @ 1100mhz also when the phenom comes over finally... although they're 2x2gb powerchips..
