View Full Version : PowerColor HD3870 dead?

After the vgpu pencil mod my card won't send any signal to my monitor when connected through DVI. If I use a DVI->D-SUB adaptor I'm getting weird stripes on screen but nothing readable.
Now... is it dead? Any chance of making it work? Maybe some graphite stuck somewhere?

Are you actually shading the wrong spot?
Be sure to always have DMM to monitor the amount of resistance you've decreased.

Clean the area off with alcohol, maybe there is some graphite shorting something.

boqonx, that mod didn't work so well for me. There are two vgpu pencil mods for the 3870.

Eldonko, I'll try, hope it's graphite messing up things.

Cleaning the board with alcohol didn't help. :( Still no signal through DVI cable, only D-SUB.

Any other suggestions?
