Seems B3 shipping starts today. But there is no black edition B§ on the roadmap or did I miss something.
Fudzilla: Phenom B3 revision launches today (http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=6478&Itemid=35)
EDIT: Damn I might have read that artivle more carefully. 9850 BE is on the road but no release dates. Thread can be deleted. sry

~170€ whould be a good price.
Found that on a german site:

So they release single socket opterons at 75W (TDP or ACP?) before the 9100's.
Think they want to make sure those opterons get used in servers and not the (cheaper?) 9100's.
I could not find an AM2+ server mobo btw.

I wouldn't expect to find one, judging by history. These opterons, just like the AM2 'Santa-Ana' series (Opteron 121x series), are aimed at OEMs, but should work in desktop motherboards if the previous ones were anything to go by. I think Tyan was the only company to release an AM2 server board, but Asus also certified the Crosshair for use with AM2 Opterons. Single-socket opterons seem to have a strong hold on HP's low-end server range; I'd expect these new opterons to be found in the same kinds of places.
EDIT: 75W TDP is ubelievably low for a quad-core - must mean ACP

Think I'll go for the opty as well.
I get a feeling that a lot of people are expecting wonders in terms of frequencies for the B3's. I would hope for the best and prepare for the worth;)
Anyone else (with a phenom) noticed how fast the windows boots up?
PS
What is "fassung"?

Maybe 3GHz are possible now with an 9850. I expect round 2.8GHz average oc.
Looking at the optys wattage again it's ACP not TDP. So 75W ACP correlate to 95W TDP.
Also I must revise myself. I wonder why they do not release single socket optys below 2GHz but dual and quad socked versions. They could make more money with the optys than with the 9100's.
Do the optys have a longer warranty (5 vs. 3 years)?

Have not yet compared boot time to the intel system, will do that as a final test tomorrow, ;)
Fassung = socket
BTW: here (http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.heise.de%2Fnewsticker %2FOpteron-CPUs-wahlweise-mit-HyperTransport-3-0-oder-2-5-GHz--%2Fmeldung%2F105472&langpair=de%7Cen&hl=de&ie=UTF-8) is the article i grabbed the table from.
An important info: B3 opterons have a "GH" OPN.
