Their latest heatsink review shows how Noctua's NH-U12P performs against the TRUE, and a few others. They tested it with the included Nocua NF-P12 120mm fan, and also as a push-pull setup.
I can vouch for their fans, which also work great on the TRUE, and the HR-03GT.

Turns out that we have a new leader :) I personally don't like the tower coolers but I'm thinking about chaning all fans in my rig on Noctuas :P

Something very fishy is going on in the Anandtech labs.
Here it says the TRUE does 3.94GHz @ 59C load
http://www.anandtech.com/casecoolingpsus/showdoc.aspx?i=3268&p=7
But here it they say it can do 3.96GHz @ 47C load

200MHz higher but 12C lower  , I guess we all know where Anand gets this months bonus from.
Both are using the same CPU, but different Motherboards and Video cards. Both post by the same Author Wesley Fink
Wheres the Push / Pull config for the TRUE. Why not use the higher speed Noctua fans on the TRUE.
Heres a Review of the TRUE vs U12P both using the same Noctua fans
http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/noctua_nh_u12p/5.htm
Here the U12P with a P12 fan on high gets beaten by the TRUE with the S12

These are the only 2 articles I could find in 5 mins that directly pit these 2 coolers against each other.

Different software was used in those reviews. The 47C was nTune (or w/e it's called) and the 59C was Core Temp.
They switched a couple months ago to Core Temp (for good reason).
That said, in no way do I think AT's HSF testing results are 'clean.' Too many odd results and results that just don't jibe with user experiences and other smaller-site reports (or logic).
Not all issues are necessarily AT's fault--HSFs and fans are VERY easy to cherry pick and AT is a large site. Some manufacturers might be handing them cherries, which just complicates things even more.

No TRUE120 in a Push/Pull config? I'm a little disappointed.

Here another direct review comparing NH-U12P v s Thermalright U120E.

Spanish, but the graphics says it all. Software temp is no one. All readed by UEI DT-200.
Both heatsinks used in single and double fan configuration.
Gotta figure which one is the best :)

tech4pcs looks to be a rather good review site:up:
No Se Habla Espanol, but easy enough to figure out the review. Good that they used both one and two Noctua fans, and also rigged up a couple on the TRUE.

is this woth getting over the Xigmatek (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233003)
does anyone suggest a better mounting then push pins for Noctua, does this (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/lgbowiscsp.html)work?
this will hopefully all fit in my CM690

The Noctua uses a bolt through method.

Yes, Not push pins. It uses a good mounting method for sure.

That was perhaps the stupidest review I've ever read... first off, they changed the test platform from when they did the TRUE and the NH-U12P iirc, they had different fans, and STILL put all this together in ONE chart.
Lastly, they said the heatsink was identical to the NH-U12F; not true. Noctua did some minor [read: minor] changes, like nickel plating [duh] and changing the height of the finstack. Didn't like that review one bit.
EDIT: I'm also a lover of Noctua products. Frankly, they're excellent, but this review is just ridiculous.

I was never a fan of Anandtech's heatsink reviews anyway.

I have to agree, this Anandtech review lacks credibility. There are better reviews comparing these heatsinks. I thought the tech4pcs review posted by Kain XS was far superior, even though I couldn't read most of it:D

Well, that happens when sites try to get all together databases.
The fans and the system is not even the same. Thats why there are some many discrepances on the reuslts, and not-logical OCing temps with better results at bad temps.

Thats google translation to English. Probably the translation will not be the best, but you can understand better :)
Dont know if that translates all, but if not, go here: http://www.google.com/translate_t
Just select the link you want to translate (every page) and: español a ingles.
That should do the trick ;)
Regards.

Hey, that translation is great! Gracias!
My son is learning Spanish in school so I am still going to keep the original for him to read.
Anandtech could learn a few things from them:up:

True still reigns :), I was about to be really pissed off because I just ordered a true for another rig and I hear a new cooler is champ. I don't like the way the fans look anyways.
