Can anyone recommend an 80 x 80 x 15 fan that is relatively quiet? I need one for my southbridge sink; the one I have now, an EverCool thin fan, makes more noise than my 6 120mm fans and my pump put together.
Thanks guys!

80x80x15? :( Not many options...
What RPM is your 80mm at right now? And what 120mms do you have?

Thanks but that's 80 x 25, I need 80 x 15 in order to use the fan mount on the sink.

Not sure of the RPM on the 80, pretty fast though. 120s are 3 medium speed Yates and 3 Gigabytes (I'm sure they are just Gigabyte branded) that came in my case.
Only other 15mm I can find is a Zalman OP-1, no clue if it will be better. May have to get creative on the mount and figure out a way to use 25mm thickness.

The one you call second best is the one I have :(
I can get the SilenX you mention or the SilenX IXP-52-11 which claims 11 dba at 18 cfm, that's gotta be plenty for a southbridge sink. Yea, pricey but in context its only 10 bucks.
Thanks much for posting those, you helped me out a bunch.

For a southbridge heatsink any 40mm or 60mm fan will work. I used a 60mm fan off of and old Pentium III heatsink and it worked fine.

I know not much is needed, just trying to go the easy way and use the mount clips on the sink. I have enough other things that have to be "adjusted", looking for the easy way on this.

Afraid I false alarmed this... Manufacturer's site says I can use a 15 or a 25mm width. That gives me a lot more choices.

The Zalman 15mm is great for the money, IMO. I had one when I had a NFII Infinity, cause the socket was so far back I couldn't fit my ThermalRight and a regular fan...

Thanks for the help guys! I decided to go with a Scythe SA0825FDB12SL. It seems to get good reviews. We'll see :)

I think they put the fans in one room, close the door, and measure the db in the second room.
