think X38 mobo's will boot with 45nm CPU's if ya want to do any Oc'ing better read up if these Dimms give more than 800mhz as lowest FSB with Intel mobo's is 1:1 meaning 400FSB corresponds to lowest 800mhz ram speed... I'm pretty happy with my Gskill PC8000PQ kit, they do 1000mhz nicely out of the box 2.0 volts...
Will be a nice rig mate :) I Still prefer Q6600 due to higher multi over the 8X of the York 9450 but that's just a matter of what ya want to do with it...

Good luck on that Q9450, seriously.
I'm a patient person, but this wait has gone WAY too long.

The wait has been painful.
I was origionaly going to give in to the Q6600 but decided to stick with the Q9450. I was hoping to get the CPU to run at 3.2 which is 400 fsb if i did my math correct. Would love to get my hands on GSkill but the problem is trying to source it in this country. I had to search far and wide just for the Mobo.

From what I've read those Patriot sticks don't really clock well so the Mushkins might be a better choice. You can always get something like the PC8000 Redlines if you want the extra speed.

get teh x48LT its cheaper and has better cooling the UT has no place unless thats all that u can get (the LT x38 is better too), and for ram the mushkin is better i have the viper it wont clock at all

Thanks alot. Will get the Mushkin instead
Unable to get the X48 i will maybe see wat else i can find. My main problem was the ram so thanks for clearing that up for me.
Last question i hope. Mushin Redline PC2-8000 5-5-5-12 or Mushkin XP2-6400 4-4-4-12?

My guess would be it's the same IC's the Redlines are just higher binned. If the price difference isn't a lot then I'd get the Redlines, I'm actually considering a set of them myself :D but I don't really need them since my OCZ does 1066mhz with 5-4-4-12 timings for considerably less.
