Max3 finally shipped!

After about one month of hassles trying to get my hot little hands on the IC7-G MAX 3, it shipped out this afternoon.

I had originally ordered it from GameVE.com but they kept slipping the shipping dates on the mobo. I had called excaliberpc.com quite a while ago and got on a waiting list for the board. To my suprise, having forgotten about it, they emailed me last night and said it was in. Since GameVE had charged my credit card but not shipped the product after numerous calls and emails, I cancelled that order and went with Excaliber (should have done it in the 1st place). Just did standard 3 day FedEx shipping with Labor Day coming up.

Excaliber only got a limited initial shipment (all the resellers have had a delay in getting the cards from Abit). GameVE should be receiving theirs ~ 8/29 and atacom told me late last week they expected shipment on or around 9/1/03.

It's great when things work out. My Malay chip hasn't yet arrived though, on a mission. Should be here shortly. (P4 3.0)

Xcaliber has been the best way to go for Abit Definitely one of their big resellers and a good company to deal with. I've had good luck in personal dealings there with Woody and especially Kevin. They keep coaxing dollars from my wallet to their business, lol.

After setting up the Asus P4C800E for my son, I liked it so much I ordered one for myself today! Thanks for all the heads up on the Abit, but I'm going to give Asus another go. This is the first non abit board for me in 5 years! :D

Dale - the Asus is a great board and does well with high FSB's - no doubt about it. I've just had such great luck with Abit boards for so long - even through having to RMA a couple boards (Abit has a great RMA process), couple corrupted bios problems on the earlier NF7-S boards, etc. I nearly bought the same ASUS board to throw in the prom myself, especially after not being able to find a Max 3 anywhere. I like the higher voltages on the max 3 boards (confirmed at 3.2v) for memory since I plan on pushing the beast to the limits.

MS aka Bill Gates - thanks bro. Anything bowman works on turns out to be pretty special (he's a craftsman). He should be shipping my modded Mach II later this week, won't arrive till after the holiday weekend. I'm really antsy having waited this long, but patience is a good virtue (do I have any virtues, lol?). A slight delay in receiving my Malay P4 3.0 chip, but it's in the works.

I was waiting for the max3 also, but like I said, installing the Asus for my son made me fall for it. It's my 1st non Abit board in years...if you don't count 1 Epox.
No word from Bowman on my due date yet, but I figure you don't rush an artist! The longer he has it, the better it will be...plus I asked for some extra stuff that he was kind enough to do for me. I fear he has worked himself half to death with all he has going on right now.
The Asus should do very well in my Bowman model Mach1. :D

Just kidding...seriously he was running a high temperature for several days in a row, just totally under the "weather".

I just don't know of anyone that gives back as much to the community as he does...and anything he does is well worth waiting for (you should know, you have his hand crafted phase rig that I should have bought!!!!!!!!).

Not sure when mine will ship either, but whenever it is, it's close and I know it will be just right because that's how he is when he works. A craftsman.

I have mine ordered with gameve as well..........its supposed to ship on 8/29............do you think it will ship on time now as stock is finally getting to retailers or should I place an order with excalibur pc? its not listed on there website, do you have to call?

I do think GameVE will get stock, just not sure how soon. Excaliber only received a small shipment initially and those probably went out to people like me who were on waiting lists.

I expect all major resellers, newegg & company, to have stock after the 1st week of September as the boards keep rolling in.

Just a update guys, NewEgg has the MAX3 in stock and ready for shipment! I ordered mine today along with a ANTEC True Blue 480 PSU!!!:banana:

Iagree with yall, if I already had a sweet MB like the P4C800 or the IC7-G I would not have wasted the money to get the MAX3.

Ordered my Max 3 from newegg this morning and its already on a fedEx truck headed to me. I also ahd a pre-order at GameVE.com but they didn't charge my card. So when I got wind of the newegg stache I cancelled and got some of the newegg killer!!! Yeah! bout time...been waitng & waiting & waiting.:banana:
