iPod for storage or other things

OK, I've haven't used my 4GB for actually listening w/ mp3s, since I got my Nokiea 5300 now for mp3s.

Has anyone turn his/hers iPod into storage instead or other use?

as long as disk mode is enabled, why not. It shows up just like another hard drive.

I bring my iPod to work...work pc runs on XP PRO...and the iPod does show up as a harddrive with access to Calendar/Contac/Notes but none to the mp3s.

Is there a portable winamp app I can install in the iPod or my other USB flash drive so I can access the iPod without installing anything in the work pc?

I don't think the IT dept appreciate already me using flash drive so I can use my Portable Opera to browse around.
btw...does browsing thru portable Opera create a event list or internet history?
