Hey,

theoretically speaking which of these two examples would be faster generally speaking?

1) which would bench faster
2) which would be faster in games

NF2 Mobo, running RAM at 2-2-2-5 timings at 220-225FSB
or
NF2 Mobo, running RAM at 2.5-3-3-7 timings at 245-250FSB

Say the Processor is running at the same speed also, 2.5gig.

This is all theoretical, just to aid to my decisions on which RAM etc.

Tighter, faster ram timings would make the computer more responsive, and at that increment of a difference in fsb, I would say the tighter ram timings would prevail. It would take more of a incremental difference in the fsb to get it equal.

Tighter is better especially with the NF mb's, going to cas 2.5 is a pretty heavy hit I'd say 20mhz worth maybe more.

so would you say that 2x512mb Mushkin Level 2 PC3200 modules would be good for 225FSB 2-2-2-5?

I read a review and they pumped 2.7v thru them and got 220FSB with ease at 2-2-2-5.

Any input is helpful :)
