I just ordered this card and haven't got it yet. I read many reviews many seem positive. For the $ I had to try it over my on board. I am new and uneducated as to the best way to set sound up for gaming. My current way is the tried and true trial n err type. Has anyone got a step by step or software mod that will help when setting a sound card up for hearing particular sounds. I keep hearing all this about hearing footsteps all over the map from other gamers with X FI and other more dedicated cards. Is this BS? I have my sounds set pretty good I think for what I have but I want to hear better. Thanks for any help.
