Hello, ive never had a look into the cooling solutions for graphic cards so I though it's best to ask here for some "professionals" advices...

I have the EVGA 8800 GTS SSC and with fan speed set on 74% it's still getting quite hot, around 72-74 core!

So im searching some very effective but not too loud cooling solution....

What should I have a look on?

actually 72-74c for load is pretty good for a gts for silent operation, but if you want something better, look towards the zalman vf1000 or perhaps the hr 03 (don't recall whether the mounting system is the same for the gts as the gt or gtx)

Definitely the HR-03 GT.

hr 03 (don't recall whether the mounting system is the same for the gts as the gt or gtx)
Same as GT since they're on the G92. But not the GTX, because it's on the G80.

been using Accelero S1 with a SilverStone FN121 on it and am quite satisfied.
I'd go for Accelero S1 with some quiet fan or even two or HR-03gt

Sounds like some pretty high temps, I get 55'ish load with the fan @60% with 700 on the core.. But got the HR-03 on a GTX and it works nice and quitly ;)

I just finshed changing mine to Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev. 2 with the turbo module and used the Custom 8800GT/G92 Cooling Kit by iandh - Black.

looks l;ike a sweet cooling setup, the Accelero S1 Rev. 2 with the turbo module got great reviews and I figured the Custom 8800GT/G92 Cooling Kit by iandh would just be the topper.....

So tomorrow I will see if the temps drop....

Thanks for all those great suggestions, ive decided to buy the "Thermalright HR-03 GT" together with a 120mm fan ;)

However it doesn't have any memory heatsinks included?

I was thinking to get the "Thermalright 8800GT PWN Heatsinks" but it has only 4 heatsinks.. is that enough to cover everything? Otherwhise I'd buy 2x or get 1x those +1x Enzotech BMR-C1

the 8800GT has everything, 8 RAM sinks and enough VRM heatsinks, its not called GT for no reason :p:

Good choice. I can't say enough about Thermalright, and most of it is positive:rolleyes:
Check out Noctua's NF-P12 120mm fan, they are well-suited to use on heatsinks, reasonably quiet, and well-made.
I'd recommend the Enzotech sinks, they are copper as opposed to the :D pot metal sinks Thermalright doles out. Plus they come with a superior 3M thermal tape:cool:

Please accept my apologies. I have edited my post accordingly. Keeping XtremeSystems Forums clean by not allowing swearing is a good thing:)
I have been spending too much time on another forum starting with the letter "H" that tolerates a little bit of strong language. I blame it all on that guy named Kyle:D
