i have a wc setup for the cpu and gpu (8800gts) and the stock EVGA fan for the chipset. i would really like to take that fan out just because it is just too freakin noisy.

wc'ing the nb is not an option, i just don't fee like doing it :). i am wondering whats the best/quietest solution for the nb and sb. i have been reading that the evercools (http://www.svc.com/vc-re.html) are definitely a set up from the stock cooling. but i have also read that the Thermalright HR-05/ HR-05 SLI are pretty good as well.

so which is the best/quietest option?

thanks

Been personally using Hr-05 SLIs and I'm satisfied.... but... I've got an old nFORCE 4 mobo which probablly generates less heat and it still gets hot.. so I'd suggest hr-05 sli or the ifx version with some fans attached (like 80mm)

I got the one in your link on my southbridge and it works great. For my northbridge I used a Noctua chipset cooler. That works great too. http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=197&products_id=21137
