Ok,
Ready to put together new rig and have few ?'s

Option 1
High FSB 2.8C (think 300-310mHz) 4200-4300mHz
Good BH-5 Ram that'll do cas2,5,2,2 at 5:4
P4C800
TTGI 520
R9800 Pro

Option 2
3.2C making about 275mHz FSB, 4400mHz
PC4000/4200 at 1:1, cas3, 4,4,8
P4C800
TTGI 520
R9800 Pro

I have liquid cooling/chilling setup good for -50C...

At EQUAL cpu mHz, what's faster 1 or 2? At a slight speed disadvantage, would the option 2 STILL be faster??

Almost back...

I would think that option 1 would be faster at equal Mhz. The higher FSB outweighs the 1:1 advantage by far. FWIW, my mem benches at 250 1:1 (OCZ Gold) are just over 6k in sandra. At 277 FSB running 5:4 with BH-5 my scores are a bit better than at 250.

The person you need for this is Zroc, he is a genius when it comes to this stuff.

Basically, he explained to me that I am faster at 3.58 Ghz, 275 fsb at 5/4 than at 3.5 250 fsb 1:1 ratio. Clockspeed is really what you need with the p4s

My vote is for #2. Just look at dj

ps. if you get all that stuff, I expect to see you in the top 5 at the orb, you are really smart:)

also I hear that hyper x at 5/4 2-2-2-5 is faster than 1:1 ram at 2.5-4-4-8

And what coolant are you using?
