GA-X48T-DQ6 has the "crazy cool" backplate and according to anandtech; and i quote: "This means that top-end air coolers that rely on a back-plate and screw mounting cannot be used on this motherboard without modifications to either the cooler or the motherboard."

Can someone confirm this, the X38 also has this and will it cause any problems if you want to use a TRUE on this one?

Or drill right thru that mutha and get longer bolts to attach the TRUE and get the effect of this HS..:up:

just get long m3 screws & nuts with some rubber gromets and it would hold the heatsink in place no problem. depending again how heavy your heatsink is. tried with the ultra 120a and it was great even mounted more securely.
