Hello pals, me from INDIA and very unhappy with 8800GT, reason below.

Ma configuration -

1. Intel E6850 @ 3.6GHz 1.325v BIOS, 1.288v LOAD under Orthos, Ultima 90i + Glacialtech 120mm FAN, IDLE temp 28C, LOAD 52C

2. Abit IP35-E Motherboard BIOS 16

3. Transcend Value 667MHz RAM @ 800MHz 4-4-4-15 2T 2.1v, 9hrs Memtest PASS

4. EVGA 8800GT Standard Edition, 66% FAN SPEED, IDLE 33C LOAD 68C (Server cabby with fans, fans and more fans)

5. Cooler Master Extreme 600W, 18A+18A, I hate this, voltages keep flactuating, I wasnt sure that this SMPS was tested @ 25C in LAB, XXXX 40C is normal cabby temp, So effeciency will drop further, 70% is advertised. I think its 400W real, +12v is 11.73 @ IDLE and 11.36 @ LOAD  . Its loud too.

Problem I m facing is blank screens (no signal) or Magenta color screen. my monitor acts like there isnt a video source. It happens in windows (surfing, gaming) and BIOS too.

I even formatted ma Windows XP with SP3, now using Windows XP SP2, tried different video driver versions (169.28 to 174.20). Tried checking with no overclock too (both CPU and GPU). I dont think its windows issue coz once it happened in BIOS too.

What do U guys think, I m very frustrated now, tried everything. MA GPU dying?? or?? Sometimes when I listen to music I get blank screen, but audio continues.

Its not cable/plug etc, it suddenly started to behave abnormal. Now PCIe clock is set @ 110MHz, games everything work fine, no issue, I sometimes get flactuations (flickers) on screen.

If I set PCIe back to 100MHz, magenta/blank screens come back, my monitor acts like there isnt a video source.

I really miss ma mATX mobo with onboard GPU days.

Should I RMA ma GPU?? I will have to wait coz this GPU is purchased from US.

TIA. :)

ur problem is solved by upping pciE freq?

solutions applicable:
1: try ur card on a diff sys config
2: try diff mobo bios
3: try diff card bios from mvktech
4: try w/ a diff psu
5: try a diff o/p - dvi or vga
6: remove all fans from cabby, attach only the necessities and see/try
7: put everything in a refrigerator for sometime....remove...let the moisture crap go away then try
8: clean ur card by removing hs and using mx2 etc
9: try w/ pciE 105%
10: format the hdd or use a diff hdd
