durons did overclock pretty well.

it really depends on the stepping. some people got those AXIA chips up to 1.6GHz.

Tweaked!

Either one of those will clock fairly decently. The cool thing about those older chips were that to modify the bridges, all you had to do was scrape the connection away in between the dots and reconnect with a pencil.

i like the performance of [M]Duron better than the Thunderbird athlons due to optimized/enhanced cpu instructions used on the Morgan Durons and Palomino Athlons.

Durons also handle very well in high FSBs.. I have three of them.

my old bench on the durons@ 205 FSB on a via kt333 platform..

haha...awesome. i will test both, i'm sure, but doesn't the duron have only 128k L2?

What core/mem is your Ti200 running at?

that bench was with a ti200 card running at 295 mhz avg. core / 570mhz memory..

Nice o/c.
Mines maxed out at 255/545.
Highest score so far: :(

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=6925800

Got to improve that joke or I shall take the tag off in shame.

Im running Omega KX144.03 Drivers(Performance)
Changing Piority to Real-Time
175x12.5 CPU (Highest memory will go @ 1:1)

Cant think of anything else to get me higher, the card just wont take it without locking ad trashing the score.

Any tips for an ageing card(ancient maybe better) owner?

BTW
I can run the CPU @ 200x11.5 but its slower due to having to set CPU Interface to normal and memory to 166.

Wanted to ask your advice because you are king of the ti200 it seems :D

hey.. :) that's not a bad score for your setup and your card's clock. I get best result with the det 40.72 & DX8.1 on a win2k pro ntfs sp2.

Try high LOD settings i.e. +10 in drago. +4 for the Nature. it it run +4 pretty much for the rest unless you find a better sweet spot. The lod setting responds/behaves differently with the faster system like mine though, so you'll have to experiment for yours.

yes, the most important part, your card's core clockspeed. Try to get that up as high as possible. Apply a good cooling for the core.

If 200 FSB is not doable with the Fast cpu decode, could you try it without the fast decode and run the FSB:memory at sync 1:1 ? Have you tried it that way?

My memory is like the nastiest cheapo stuff you can get hehe.
Its DDR266 and im running it at 350-360 depending on clock.
Thats as high as it will go unfortunately.

My lame board will only allow 2.7V on the memory so I cant even try to take it higher.
Hopefully soon ill be getting DDR400, maybe then I can try for 1:1 200FSB

Im stuck for any extra boost on the motherboard side, its totally maxed as far as volts are concerned:
1.8vCore
2.7 Memory

Maybe ill o/c the AGP and up the voltage, take the card out with a BANG! hehe :D

I think ill try the Windows 2000 | DirectX8.1 route first though,.

Thanks m8, nice score BTW :D
