9800np bios flashed to pro bios...460/380
not completely stable but i can complete 3dmark 2001 at those speeds. this is stock cooling and no v mods
Every day use is 440/350
P.S for those of u with a 9800 np, the bios flash gave me an extra 30 mhz max overclock on the memmory. before the flash i could only get 350 or so.

After seeing the temps at stock on this card I higly suggest serious cooling (non stock) if you are going to OC.

kokoro_kara what do you suggest for cooling? I have noticed the memory gets scorchingly hot after sustained heavy use. I have to clock it back a bit in certain games while using FSAA features because I think the memory is overheating and I get artifacts or the game locks up. Maybe I can try to rig up a fan blowing air over the top of the card?

I got a 9700pro AIW too!
I never tried OC'ing it much, I only got the stock hsf on it right now. I think I did 370/350 but I was just goofin off, wasnt really trying. Bought some tweakmonster BGA sinks for the mem, and I have a prommy I'm gonna try mount on the gpu. Been playin w/ the mobo and cpu lately, ignoring the vid completely.
Any vmod info for a 9700pro AIW welcome!

ok guys, farthest i can get up to now is 378/325. this is with just an AMD retail heatsink and fan on the gpu.
now, if i bench at a higher gpu, i start seeing little black dots everywhere.. does this mean i need more voltage, or better cooling??

I'm running a dangerden water block on mine and just regular case air flow. What I did before going to WB is I had just as you said, a fan blowing on it. I actually had an internal 80mm fan centered at about the 2nd pci slot below the Radeon card. That way a lot of air would be hitting the card and much of it underneath while my case fans should pull the heat from above. I noticed a good 20c to 30c drop in temps acc to the enermax ( I don't trust fully since it's probably influened easily by air blowing on the temp reader as well ;)
Since I have it WB I have noticed one thing very interesting, the end of card towards the video output produces much heat. It is still warm with my WB cooling. Quite a bit warmer than my gpu. So, being long winded, air blowing on the entire card would propably even benifit my card some more.... except the noise :D
Ram sinks I wouldn't particular worry about... if the Ram getting hot, it's from the card and the gpu heat not the actually RAM heating up. Atleast mine aren't hot
Hope this helps, and do a search on cooling your gpu. There are several methods of just augmenting your already existion HS or putting on a different HS. Look around there is much fun stuff
