HI Guys!

This is my first post,i joined ur Forum and joined your folding team,im not sure how it works,my pc i use for playing as in my sig will do much better,is there a minimum time needed to keep folding running.

folding uses only the cpu cycles your other program's don't use...

and time depends all on cpu speed, how much you use your computer, and which programs you use... the less you use and the faster theprocessor = the faster you fold!

Welcome to Xtreme, and the Folding team. If I understand your question, no there is no set time you have to have folding running. If you turn your rig off it just takes longer to complete a work unit. But you don,t loose anything. Hope that answers your question. Again welcome to the Team.:toast:

Im always formatting my pc i use for oveclocking,Theres 1 good thing i use it for nothing else,all that get loaded is VIA's, DX,Dets,3DMark, WC Pud,S.Soft and Hardware doctor. and now FOLDING !!

Thanx again,a prob for me,i had to do a restart and when i click on the folding at home button it sais theres already another copy running,my problem is there is no icon in my start menu,lke it was before my restart.

Check what you've got running in the background. I bet it's in your startup menu (It does that automatically).

Well, if it is running in the background it will be called FahCore_65.exe
If you have XP it may just be hiding the icon. Mine does.

You can edit what it hides by goR-clicking on the taskbar and go to customize.

Yeh i do have XP and its not hiding in my inactive icons.

Was folding running before your restart? Go into your programs and see if it installed 2 diff folders.

Yes it is running.if i do a restart sometimes its not there,so i keep restarting till it is.also in the config panel under user i put this.
Xtreme Systems (id # 3365),its not showing my score is added as a .(no team designation).
so far ive done Wu7 and a score of 11.8,its not much but its growing.

I can,t think of anything except do a fresh install. Of course you will loose your workunits. But your info did not register. Clear team info and reinsert, shut down and restart folding program. If that doesn,t work do a fresh install. This sucks.

Ive done a fresh install and a different user,it still doesnt show the team.

if you are folding - it would be cool to add your personal folding link in your sig - it makes it easier to go chekc out if anyone is curious as to your stats and just what proteins your getting....

111,112,113,114, will be the slowest projects that you will get. All are a form of proteinA. And all the proteinA,s are worth 5 Points.
