Yesterday, after some testing, I made a stable setup and added a dedicaded cruncher to the cause.
Aside from my 3,9GHz "main" Q6600 rig I added another Q6600 powered folding beast.
In short: C2Q C2D - a Core 2 Quad Q6600 runnin 24/7 folding "Crunch 2 Death" :D
Detailed:
Q6600 @ 3,35 GHz ( really bad clocker), 1,38 V aircooled
Asus P5K-E P35 mobo
1GB (2x512MB) Adata DDR2 800 mem
Ati X300se
the things above shouldnt change, the ones below are temprorary or to be replaced:
hitachi 250GB hdd
samsung dvd burner
tagan 530W psu
I am very pleased so far with the output on a 64bit Fedora 8 Linux
The main reason I made this thread, that this is my first dedicated cruncher. Feels great to support this great team you guys built. Wanna help to reach the 6 000 000 points in a day goal.
Well, I guess this disease is kickin in, I feel an itch to get another quad :D Yeah, I guess I am a farmer now ... Who's gonna stop me? The electricity bill? Nah ... ;) SiG, I guess I could use some medical help :D
Just to encourae ... ( as said by SiG ) let's show'em what XSDC means!

It appears that all the indirect counseling sessions are working.
The main thing to remember is that, It is not your fault! When in doubt we all just blame Movieman. :ROTF: :sofa:

Wow, thx for the cheers!
I love the members here at WCG! The way you treat each other, the way you're devoted to the cause ... I am excited to be a part of it and thank everyone for building & keepin it up.
And don't worry, I don't blame you for joining, I blame you for having me get another quad! :ROTF:
I recently recognized the ESL team - another one of the big guns. They have a lot of manpower it seems. What are they?
Here on XS it reminds me of this - "Always outnumbered, never outgunned" - just look at the stats!

They are the European Sports League... They apparently joined in mid Feb to ramp up for the March points race challenges. No telling if they will stay, or fade away after March.
The important thing to note.. is that since they ALL joined less than a month ago. virtually all of their SEVEN THOUSAND members are returning work. Whereas we had about 253 (according to Boincstats) of our 866 receive daily points yesterday (3/13)
