I have searched high and low and cannot find a provider in the UK that does this memory, with BH-5 chips, can anyone give me some help please.
If not UK, then a USA supplier that would ship to the UK would be fine by me.
Thanks

They stopped making BH-5 quite a while ago, unless you find a store with 'old' sticks you're SOL i'm afraid :( Or you could try to get some second hand...

It might be quite hard to find HyperX 3500 with BH5 these days. Try PC3000 instead ;)

just try to find some buffalo or other cheap memory that uses bh5, the prob with khx is that you have to remove the heatspreaders to know for sure what memo youve got...

You've gotta remove the heatspreaders on most memory nowadays to find out what chips they use.

Quick question...I'm running my Barton/Nforce2 rig right now and I'm using Corsair TwinX PC3200 LLPT (512). Well I looked and found that my mem is using BH5 chips...should I keep this mem for when I move to my P4C system??? It's starting to sound like I should! :D

omg, i would have looved that :p
so what other ram can do 230+ mhz @ cas 2, 2-2-5 or 2-3-5, i'm looking for tight timings :p

My TwinMOS PC3700 does 236 mhz CL2-2-3-5 on my NF2. And the AMD platform is harder on the timings than the Intels. But after what ive heard im lucky with my sticks(2x256)

So you're saying that if I'm running a 420FSb at 5,2,2 CAS2 then I should be able to really jack up the FSB on a P4C system as long as I slacken up the timings a bit??? Like 7,3,3 or 8,4,4 ?
I really hope my ram likes P4s because it's about to meet MY LITTLE FRIEND! <--- P4 2.6C :)

Where would you pick up some that mushkin stuff, Mickeymouse?
I am interested because I believe my hyperX is holding me back. It won't even do 200 mhz at anything but 2-3-3-8.

did they ever use BH5 for HyperX?
I am sure even the earliest revisions used Kingston 4.5ns..

Thanks Mickey!
I think the "Kingston 4.5ns" is really BH-5 rebadged. The 3200 Black lvl 2 also has BH-5 chips.
Hollywood.. do you know what revision is your 3200LL? I have some but i have not taken off the heatspreaders.. it says rev 1.2 on it.

probably, my kingston 4.5ns stick can do 246mhz 2-2-2-5 3.15v full stable, over 246 it's a mobo limit in stability..

if that case , why were some of the Kingston 4.5 ns chipped HyperX 3500 incompatible with Crush18D? where as XMS3500/other BH5 worked perfectly?

i checked my ram, they both use chips labled as kingston, but they have the two little round dimples in the middle of the ram, doesnt that show that they are bh-5?

Yeap, revision 1.2 is Winbond CH-5, if not mistaken, the recommended timings are 2.0-2-3-5. The v1.1 comes wif BH-5. timings 2.0-2-2-5

Well I have 1.1 HyperX that I got in January iirc but it was definantly over the new year period :)
I think I might just take off my HS and see what it says underneath. It will prob say Kingston 4.6ns but i dunno, wouldnt mind taking off these HS anyways :)
Im also tempted to try either some new XMS3500 in a pair or else get some of the new 3700 stuff.....I just want to experiment with some new ram with the MAX3 arriving and the vdimm available I guess :)

Could be something to do with the PCB instead of the chips themselves?
