I just purchased the Logitech Z5500 speakers and would like to get a PCI sound card for my system. I've read all kind of reviews and now I 'm so confused at what I should buy. I don't want to spend $ 200.00 and end up with nothing. The card will be used for everything gaming, music and movies. So can you guys help me out please? Thanks

X-Fi XtremeGamer, or if you have the extra money, the Prelude from Azuntech (sp?) is a much better buy.

I read about the Prelude , is there any problems with them and are the fairly easy to setup ?

Any PCI soundcard is just plug & play...usually. Install it and then install the drivers.

Thanks for the info , I was mainly concerned with driver issues and setting up the software. I just ordered the Asus Xonar 7.1 for 162.00 including shipping which I thought was a pretty good deal. Thanks to all who helped with the recommendations.

My prelude works beautifully with my Z5400s and Vista x64. Not a single problem and the sound quality is very good indeed.
