This is going to be the setup, i've read the 120mm fan roundup and yet i still can't decide (soundwise).
Should i put the Scythe or the Noctua on the TRUE 120, because both are quiet and are in same price range.

They perform roughly the same, why not put them both, make a push-pull combo?

Look around for reviews. If you can't find any, just pick the one with the highest CFM, or buy both and dedicate the odd one out to case cooling. Rated CFM's are usually misleading, because every company takes the reading differently, but it's better than nothing.
They probably perform too close to be pulling your hair out over.

Though they both are top performing fans, that is not the "F" model S-Flex which runs at 1600rpm, but the "E" one that runs at 1200rpm, so if you are going for a single fan solution i would go with the Noctua, it's better. Works at 1300rpm and is designed for high airflow.

Can't go wrong with either.
I would probably choose the S-Flex though, has had a great reputation for a long time, amd has beaten the P12 slightly in some user review tests at SPCR.

i'll go with s-flex too ;)

using s-flex in my p182 htpc quietest fans i've ever used, and well they don't fugly like the noctuas
apperance aside you really wont be disappointed with either but s-flex were cheaper for me by a few$

what about orientation. with that 200mm fan uptop it may be worth you mounting the TRUE facing upwards. some people with fans ontop report better temps that way
didnt work for me cos my PSU is above the cpu with a mere 800rpm fan

First of all thanks for the replies, i'll go for the S-Flex for replacement of the Antec tri-cool fans and also on the TRUE.
So no Noctuas for me, spares me 6 euros per fan.

Nooooooooooooo, wait! As a case fan, you can't, and I mean it, you CAN'T go wrong with the Zalman ZM-F3. Even running at maximum speed it's completely silent... the fan, that is, because you can still hear the air flowing if you put your ear next to it. Seriously, I'm not wrong here.
For the heatsink... given that the Sanyo Denki San Ace 109R1212H1011 isn't at stock anymore, anywhere (and if it is, it's refurbished, and expensive), I'd vote for the S-Flex. The model is completely up to you, and that depends if you're planning on overclocking, let's say, a quad core. If you aren't into that, then S-Flex SFF21E is THE choice. Otherwise, S-Flex SFF21F.
Have fun, but trust me, the Zalman ZM-F3 is so awesome that I can't thank Vapor enough for his suggestions.
See you around!
PD: As soon as my new case (Thermaltake Tsunami Dream) arrives, I'll switch the Zalman I'm using with my Thermalright Ultima-90i for my Sanyo Denki. Oh, and my temperatures running at default speed (2.4 GHz) on the cores of my quad just are just 24 °C at idle. :ROTF:

I got mine from here, and the TRUE clips work with it.

It would work if you make a push combo on the back of the heatsink, and position it below the 200m fan. Could work in an Antec 900 case...i've tryed it, gets few degrees off...

Well this is going to be the setup:
Antec P182 Case
E8500 (for the overclock so TRUE with S-Flex, thanks to numerous tips)
Case fans will be the S-Flex also
2x2GB DDR3 1800
Tagan Easycon XL 700W PSU
Mobo no release and GPU also, still waiting for best in both categories.
16GB SSD Mtron Pro
and 72GB Raptor

i dont have an antec case, that was my comment. i have a powersupply directly above, seasonic psu's have slow rpm fans and not powerful enough to remove air before it accumulates heat
mine is facing the rear of the case with an efficient push pull. i've just bought a dell xps 700 case which i am going to be modding into atx. did think of making a hole on the side for a 2nd exhaust but that may ruin the side. quiet and running cool is something i've gone to lengths with in my case, hope to keep that with the new chassis

E8500 on OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 2x2GB, some people here could get the E8500 including DDR3 on 4,5GHz for 24/7 use?

Not on air or water at least.
It may be possible, but not with voltages people would consider safe for 24/7 usage.
Craftyman.

Wow that's an expensive piece of equipment you've got in the works :D

Well not so expensive, only the SSD and the 2x2GB DDR3.
Well i saw people with DDR2 who can get the E8400 on 4GHz for 24/7 use, and if i set the DDR3 on 450MHz FSB x9.5 multi it will get me a 4275MHz on the E8500.
I was comparing the results but first i'm waiting on mobo's with the 790i chip or X48 and check some reviews (not the ones who can get the highest clock for simple bench-run).

X38/X48 only makes sense for me if going for dual vga solution. Fsb o/c wise P35 can produce better results.
4.5GHz for 24/7 on a E8500 you need a really good batch cpu...

Well i'm going for SLI so it's probably going to be the 790i, and highest clock on E8500 24/7 use is going to be the 4300MHz, but time will tell...

Well if going SLi then probably there is no other way is it.:D
Good luck with your pc.

Accoring to the 790i test (some thread on this forum) it responds well on high FSB.
