I have the card stated above in the system stated in the signature. This card started causing crashes and BSOD. I took it out, tried a new slot and the computer wouldn't even get to the loading screen. No visible signs on damage. Is it just gone? The warranty wont be covered since I'm the second owner. IS there any hope?

Try a CMOS clear as well if that doesn't work. Your motherboard might be on the fritz, or you might have some kind of compatibility issue. The X-Fi's are known to have some of those.

Make sure to adjust your RAID settings accordingly before you boot after a CMOS clear. Not sure about the Commando, but the BIOS in my P965 DS3 will break the array if you don't have RAID setup in the BIOS. It was totally unrecoverable and a total pain in the ass.

It was working just fine before. Then all a sudden I started getting problems. I broke apart my raid array, so now i have programs split across 4 separate drives. I've cleared cmos many times because of booting problems with one of my 8800s.

Weird. So drivers or the motherboard. If your 8800's were having problems and your sound card is having problems, perhaps the PCI-e slots on your motherboard are starting to die?

Though I've seen several other issues with Creative drivers causing BSODs, I agree with Yukon Trooper that this seems to be more far-reaching than that.

Are you running XP or Vista, Nanometer?
