What type of freon? r134 or another?

Power of compressor? 100, 150 or 200 Vatt

And other delails of system...

you can do direct die to chill your cpu or build a chiller to run chilled fluid to cpu, nb, and gpu. Your first decision would be that. If youre new the chiller is the best bet. You can buy a window a/c unit, take it apart, drop the evaporator in a igloo filled with fluid, get a water pump and drop it in the fluid, then run tubing to cpu, nb and gpu. The pump will push the chilled fluid through the system. :)

Here's where to start:

Then if you're serious:

Click on "Products". Look under "Books" for "TECH Method: ACR Trouble Shooting". :D

If youre going that route you need to do what Gary and Bowman say now. They are the experts.

The fast route could cost you 4 times as much in components when you make mistakes.

A little translation =)

I'm going really mad, what, is the English-speaking population such stupid and wooden, or only I'm so unlucky? Well how many time it is possible to ask to list characteristics and parameters of system. No, a pancake, there are only - go here, think where. I got an aviation ENGINEERING education and I CAN practically make ALL that is real to make by hands!!! As all this enrages me. Really so it is hard to answer a simple question?

Hey Sladky relax. As I has advised use R134a It's cheap and easy to find. Compressor - I think Danfoss as Chip-Con use in their prommies. btw, I'm very disappointed cuz I adviced you to go here and you really didn't find help which you were looking for a such long time.
btw I will send you fotos very soon (I'm a Timestalker as you may guessed already)

wow that outrage was really unnecessary. As far as freon goes to my understanding propane rates almost as good as r404 and is way cheap. As for the compressor,im not sure but like prommy fan said and many of the pros recomend is to get a danfoss and i think one that is 1/4 hp should be plenty but i could use some backing up on that info

Sorry I annoyed you so much with my comment m8.
Im a complete noob, who knows nothing about anything.
Im good at killing things though, through lack of patience and a need to go faster.
Just passing on my advice and experiences, sorry... :(

To make a nice phase change system you have to understand how it works, thats wthy Bowman and Gary gave him those links, so he has some basics - if he knew them- why didnt he say that ?

I want all and fast

This is not the way with phase change

Well how many time it is possible to ask to list characteristics and parameters of system.

You asked twice and always got a good answer, if you know about phase change why didnt you tell it ?

What do you need to make a nice phase change system ? Buy your self a Danfoss SC12xxx, its about 380W if i remember correct, it should be a R404A/ R507 version, buy R404A, buy 150" of 0.028" cap tube, a condenser sufficient for the heat load with a proper fan and the evap is your choice

We also have to know what you want, a sentence "me hax0rz want a phase change" says nothing to us, we have to cooperate, say what kind of cpu you use, how will the motherboard be placed, how far you want to o/c it and what tools you have, its impossible to say "buy this this, that", anyway you will have to fine tune your system etc.

Just a small communication problem fellas.....

I see you live in Moscow. Open window. Set
your computer in window. Cooling problem solved.

Joking aside.... if you could get your hands on a
Chip-Con unit or a Vapo-Chill unit and then
reverse engineer that system.... it would lead
you to many ideas and answers on how to build
and use a phase-change system for cooling PC
hardware.

That and read many threads on many pages of
this forum.

Good Luck.

I suppose he know how it works, but he wanna make a really nice system not from scartch, from new equpment. And he want his phasechange to be better from Prometeia or VapoChill ( :D )

You right, but it's not even for phase change but for all things in live. - You may get fast but not all, or you may get all but not fast. I think second variant is more acceptable.

Sometimes in our live to get something we need to ask many times... but it's only sometimes.

Hmm, nice advise berkut, just a little exprensive :)

Hello there!

Sorry for my behaviour, I was just got rattled. Thanks a lot for your
precise responds to some of my questions. I will tell you the results, for
sure. It is impossible to buy such a system (hardware), for I live in
Russia. In our stores one asking such questions may be considered a person
from another planet.

Thanks once more. Actually I am not spiteful.

Bye!

Sladky - im from poland and i understand your problems VERRRYYY well

You have to find a repair shop for A/C's, there are such shops for sure, you have to talk with the owner about what you want to do. Theres a 80% chance that if you promise him pics + banners etc. on your home page (lets say in your post on XS) you will get it for some really small money (mine full A/C system costed 500zl = 125$) and today got a compressor for free (a very powerfull tecumesh compressor- about 8000-1200btu/h) just beacause he saw my work. Thats for the compressor and probably condenser ^^

A flex hose- find a parker resseler in your country and order a hose by mail. If this is impossible find a diesel engine repair shop (where they repair all king of diesel engines, diggers etc.) and ask if they could make you a flex hydraulic hose for oil (if you want to tell the same thing about what are you doing), in poland a flex hose like that costs 30-50zl / m (thats about 7-12$/m), with 45* flare connectors.

Evap- you can make yourself a hollow evap out of tube caps, like a 4.5cm cap with a 5x5x1cm copper plate, braze them together and connect a hose where you like on top of the evap (so the liquid refrigerant doesent escape from it)

Cap tube- in the matter of fact a Szron 125 frige has 150" of 0.028" cap tube if you want to know ;] There must be russian versions of that frige (our "brotherhood nations" ^^) and after some polishing that tube will be just fine, search some scrap yard and you'l be fine ;]

Freon- find a supermarked where they sell propane for torches, a 600ml tank of propane costs 30zl / 7-8$, you will only have to make a adaptor to drain the freon out of it.

Service valves- they have to be @ your local A/C repair shops, they are usually mounted in the a/c on the tube between the condenser and compressor

Hope this hels a bit !

I think the most important bit is to start looking for some components.

As you live in russia getting hold of the exact compressor bowman would recomeds will be tough, but finding something localy that will work should be pretty easy.

The fast and easy way would be to phone up chip-con and ask them how much to deliver to russia, this is also going to be the fast easy and VERY expensive way.

To do it yourself will be allot more work.

Good luck :D

Where you live in the Moscow area.... do you have
a salvage place where people take appliances and
things that no longer work or that they just want to
get rid of? These places are a gold mine for used
but workable refrigeration parts, etc.

If I lived in your country I think that I would strip
down a refrigeration unit of some sort that has a
compressor of about 1/4 horsepower rating (approx.
5000BTU or so) and use the components.

A lot of hardware we use to build these things can
be found at auto repair stores or home repair stores.
Such as copper tube, brass fittings, insulation materials,
soldering tools, etc.

As far as a refrigerant to use..... yeah go with propane.
(R290) Use it with one of the older compressors that
was designed for R12/R22 and you'll be good to go. Won't
even have to change the oil in the compressor.

And we do want you to feel welcome at this forum.

Hiya! Sladky, maybe you just buy Vapochill? We've got them already in stock and there is no problems to deliver it to Moscow.
