found this article over @ tom's hardware - thought it would be good to look at if you need a new NIC, or want to know how they differ performance-wise. You can read the article HERE (http://www6.tomshardware.com/network/01q3/010820/)(it's a bit long). It also reviews several NICs.

too bad that test is bias! only running 3COM and INTEL server NIC's and not other brands like Linksys and D-link, oh well... good thing I run both 3COM and Linksys and I don't see a diff at all - I tested them with sandra and they came back Identical.

ya, but it has lots of other info in the article as well, that can be applied to other NICs

Kewl Spanks for the info. They don't have my 3com in there though..
