You get what you pay for.
Cheap = crap
Keep saving, $300 won't get you diddly squat
And besides, sales is strictly not permitted in this section of the forum.
step 1. save more money.
step 2. read stickies.
step 3. read build threads.
step 4. read the stickies again.
step 5. discuss and purchase phase unit from a reputable builder nearest you via private message.

Yeah however, for $300 you might find a nearby builder (and nearby depends on your location, which you might want to list in your profile or in post) that is willing to get rid of excess inventory or similar. Ive done builds near that price point, but don't expect a whole lot of choice and such. Rotarys can be had in builds like that with great performance, but don't expect a case (expect panel mount, maybe metal tray), or incredibly quiet.

Filling out location should be mandatory for so many situations

With a budget like that, have you considered TEC cooling combined with a nice simple CPU loop rather than phase?

@[XC] gomeler Yes, that would make everything much easier. :eh:

I'd suggest against this at all costs. Either go straight water or dive headfirst into phase. TEC was great back in the Athlon-XP days, but now they need to be so big you'll easily chew through the power-consumption of a large single-stage with 30-40 degrees warmer temps.

Of course TEC fails completely at energy efficiency, and of course a phase unit will be hugely colder. We all know this. The fact is, though, that they're so much cheaper it's not funny. We're not talking an OC'd quad here, we're talking an X2, so taking into account cold-bug and the OPs budget I'm fairly sure that <-50 is out of the question anyway, meaning a TEC can do what they want.

True, but I'd still say go straight water or direct-die/chiller. Not sure if any additional discussion would be on-topic or not so for now I'll shut up :D

Well guys the trhut is that am from colombia, BTW i have someone who can buy the phase change in the US and shipp me latter to my country.

PD: there is no other 24/7 subcero cooling ATM (cheap), or you guys say to w8 tilt november (my birthday) and get the rest of the money?

PD2: . Rotarys can be had in builds like that with great performance, but don't expect a case (expect panel mount, maybe metal tray), or incredibly quiet.
That is what am exactly thinking for.

For cheap, 24/7 sub-zero you're talking either a very basic phase unit or TEC. That's pretty much it.

If you can wait, do so. As said above while TEC cooling works it's inferior to proper phase in a number of areas.

hey!

300$ wont get you anything. Try saving 100$ more for the unit and another 100$ more for shipping. This will give you a bare minimum phase change without a case.
