Does a USB device somehow hinder Overclocking? If so, what do you recomend doing for USB devices?

Should I link all my USB devices into a hub coming from one USB port on my PC?

Should i put my Mouse into the PS/2 port instead of the USB?

Are legacy Ports just as bad as USB in hindering an Overclock?

Also, how do attached devices use up CPU cycles and stuff? The less you have connected or on, the faster the PC?

As far as im aware USB/PS2 etc, dont effect O/cing at all.

Multiple USB devices shouldt use up cycles unless you are using them all the time I think.

Try disabling usb in your bios...then disconnecting any/all usb devices...reboot...run your benches...log your results...then have your bios set the irq in the os...log your results...that should answer your question...

USB might stop wotking (I did on some KT266A boards)

But Ive not had any problems with it limiting my OC on more recent stuff, never on an intel chipset.
