Hi,

I have just received a mach2 unit yesterday from Marci, due to a certain company not doing what they said they would do I dont have the CPU kit for it

I have had it running and there doesnt seem to be any problem whatsoever, it said it was running at -65 Degrees whilst hanging there

My question is, what should I expect when i hook it up to my system? Is -65 normal?

I know that it is only meant to read down to -50 or something but it still said that with no alarm so im happy!

Thanks

No, its a normal unmodded mach2

It came straight from chip con (via a couple of suppliers)

That is -65 not connected to the system, with the head just dangling in thin air

mine only does -59° then (30° ambient temp though :s)

not every unit i've seen gives the same temps....not sure if the sensor is the variable, or the calibration... basically i think if you get -65C its more like -48 in real

Lowest mine has gone was late in the morning.... about 2am... no load whatsoever with evap head to open air it got down to -70 deg C... have fotos of -68 deg C somewhere...

Ambient around 18deg C I think (shop door was wide open with the wind blowin straight in on the compressor)

I guess Marci beats me on this one at the moment!

I got an identical stepping chip to Marci, and both our CPU kits are scheduled for arrival tomorrow so hopefully I can get a better clock than Marci

Nothing against you mate - just would like to see a benifit for my hundreds of pounds spent! Seeing as you get it all cheap :(

I paid the same price you did m8.... £505 + LCD... sold me Mk I and added the remainder outta me pocket... why does EVERYONE assume I get stuff cheap / free??!

Sorry mate!

We all assume (or at least I do) that owning a store you get a staff discount

Just got home now, still waiting for delivery of my new case then we shall put it together and see

I got mine to 2.79 before on water, wasnt stable o Im looking forward to it :)

I don't own out-right... it's a cross co-operative / partnership bodgejob... lol

I just have the added advantage of being able to sell my old stuff on quickly and easily to pay for the new stuff... and if I'm short just add it to my tab and it gets docked outta my wage at intervals... but I still end up paying more or less full retail price...
