I am running the P35-DS3R with a Q6600 at 450x8. Can this Ram run at a 1000 at 400fsb with a 2.5 divider? I noticed that the manual talks about using 266fsb and 333fsb.
Thx,
Utnorris

I guess I am not going to get an answer. Oh well, lets see what else is out there.

450FSB is not the stock FSB, we don't guarantee it works or not. sorry

By any chance do you have p5w mobo to test the ram on? I'm wondering if i just got bad sticks but chances are ram timings are just not relaxed on p5w because it locks up pretty much all ram control.

i don't have P5W in here to test. but i believe P5W doesn't have TRFC at 52+ and that will cause a lot of problem

p5w sets it at 42 which pretty much gives me ddr2 900 speeds tops. Going to RMA the sticks and order another 4gig kit. Think F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK will work fine with p5w?

no it won't. they both require trcf 52+

I've purchused the F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK product and installed it on my NEW maximus formula
but for unknown reason I can't get it to work as it shuold - 1066mhz.
I followed that PDF explaining how to install the DIMMs but it still didn't work.
The Maximus formula manual says to change the bios configuration to DDR2-1066 and I did.
The G.skill product requiers 2.0-2.1v and that's what I set.
Unfortunatly the computer doesn't load with these configurations.
I've tried the forums but nothing worked for me.
I ran a test with MEMTEST and it had no errors.

PLEASE help me understand what am I doing wrong???

THANK YOU

Hey.
Bios ver is 1102.
I'm sorry to inform that I have no idea how or why but suddenly it works perfectly.
The reason I'm sorry is because I spent full 4 days trying to understand whats wrong, including time on the roads to get back to the store again and again where I bought the DIMMs.

Anyway, last thing I did was testing the memory on Asus P5K-R and it worked with no problem. Getting back to my computer, I threatend it that I'm sending it back. I guess that did the change. =)
All I did was entering bios, changing the configuration to DDR2-1066 with everything else on Auto, without changing volts settings.
Everything works now.

Thanks for your quick support!

Works fine on my Asus board (650i) with 6 GB in total @5-5-5-15, 500MHz (100MHz) @2.175v, NB voltage @1.56v

Asus P5N-E SLI:

G.Skill F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ - 2GB installed in the black slots (pair furthest away from the MCH, higher drive strength for weaker modules)
G.Skill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ - 4GB installed in the yellow slots (closest to the MCH)

Actively cooled with a 80mm fan on top.

The 2GBNQ pair (6400) needed 2.175v to run fully stable @500MHz, I'm confident this system will run with 8GB of this stuff.

NB actively cooled with slow 60mm panaflo fan on stock heatsink, stock thermal paste replaced with Arctic Ceramique paste, voltage must be set to 1.56v or higher to work.

Another report, 8GB of these modules works 100% stable on Asus P5K @5-5-5-15 2T 500MHz 2.1v
