Okay so final wrap up here before she ships out.
The NCE, or Never Cold Enough Cascade, is a three stage system, first stage is a r507a system, second is r1150 and r290, third is r14 straight up.
First stage features a tecumseh 1.125HP rotary,
Second stage features a tecumseh .75hp rotary,
Third stage features a tecumseh .75hp rotary.
Tuned to 250W, the unit holds -122C on the loadtester no problem. Unloaded is around -150C. And -140C is more towards SuperPi range.
Featuring a floated temprite 902 on the third stage it has zero oil problems.
Hope Scott enjoys this its been a great build, still a bit hellish though.
Oh and capillary on all stages.

I'm gonna save one of these pics..... I don't think I've ever seen a $40 pallet before. :D

Pallet doesn't even look good, it was a pain though to find a business around here that was willing to get em. All others wouldn't sell and seemed to be saving them for shipping other stuff. Even tried walmart and home depot, policy was not to give em away.
Honda dealership was helpful, but $40.

Yes it indeed looks like the most powerful cooler built here almost matching up with LN2/Dry ice

now the owner is going to have to find the right CPU and motherboard that can handle such cold :D
unless one of the stages can be turned off to reduce temps if either component is cold bugged

Yep probably one of the top few, r14 gives it a decent edge over others, though Before's is incredibly powerful. Wish I had sets of nearly 1.5 to 2hp compressors like you Eu guys have. For compressor size this is actually sorta "tiny" compared to others.

Beating dry ice sure, the original goal was -125C for SuperPi, Sdumper later told me via PM he wanted it to simply hold as cold as possible through benches like 3Dmark.

No hot gas bypass here, so he'll have to wait for CPU to warm up, flip third stage on and off after it equalizes or more likely shim for low loads like Superpi.

I honestly can't afford to even risk a slight run in with the police.

Nice job, nice to see you finally got it wrapped up. Looked like it would've been a pain to move around :p:.
Buddy up with someone who works in the shipping industry, it'll save you a ton of money! You can usually get humungous discounts on shipping, as well as free packaging. I pay almost nothing for UPS shipments, and packaging is free :) .

How so? You mean find someone who works for the universal package slammers or the federal exterminators?

Someone who works for a business that ships a lot of items, at least that's my case. They give colossal rate discounts to large volume customers, and the packaging stuff is usually free for employees from the companies.

Found I can save around $200 (bringing shipping back down to what we thought plus a little) by dropping off at a terminal. So bringing it Monday apparently via truck down their. Working out a "ride" for the beasty.

Honestly, in terms of time and labor, vs picking one up, seemed just fine. Never knew you could get em so easily elsewhere, I musta made 50 calls though that day looking for one.

Yea i know just buggin ya;) Depends on your area too, you might not have many shops, warehouses or construction around where u could just pick one up. That is one beastly lookin unit though man, you've come a long way my friend since those early days at eocf.
What were your load temps again?

250W @ -124C the last test. Fluke read -126C, and UEI kept moving between -125C and -126C (-125.9C and -126.0C).

I would have thought that the condenser in the first stage is a little bit too small.
Very nice work, I hope it arrives in one piece. :toast:

Actually first stage never really gets above 225 psi under load. Pressures all together never get that high. Worked out perfectly.

Since the thread in the builder/customer relations is locked down, I figured I would make a comment here.
This has really gone on too long. Why is it that excuses are made when ever a question is asked. Do you really need to wait for your statement to come to prove the charges for shipping? Is it really that difficult to scan or fax the documents to prove that this was actually accepted by UPS? I mean this isn't Ocean's Eleven or anything, no one heisted this cooler. I personally don't doubt you did send it but I think SD deserves for you to go the extra mile and make him feel comfortable about the way things are going.
I really feel sorry for SD. I have never seen someone get jerked around so much before especially on a purchase this big.
You have no idea what shipping companies are like do you?
I shipped a ice machine not even 400Km and they managed to break it!
I hate shipping companies and thats why, things that a blind retard couldn't lose they will! And they try to never admit to losing it either!!!
