So I'm here all day waiting for 2 chairs and some other parts to arrive.
I'm downstairs when the first truck arrives. I hear him coming up the driveway so I go to be a nice guy and help him bring in this 165lb chair for Dear Old and as I go out the door there's my FIOS line to the house ripped off the house and laying on the ground.
To say I was a tad upset is an understatement but what really pissed me off was it didn't seem to bother this clown
" Oh,ahh, you can just call da cabl cumpane and they will fix"

I had a good 10 seconds where I thought about introducing him to my right fist but I'm too civilised for that.:p:
(Besides, there were 2 of them, both bigger and younger, key word is younger!)

Then an hour later as if I needed some frosting on the cake of my day the UPS guy arrives with my new chair.
My beautiful new $400.00 chair..
Before I can make it up the stairs( 25 seconds) he's kicked it out the back of his truck and beat feet off the property.
So I'm left with this 80lb box thats a 3 ft cube in the driveway..
Too big a box to pick up so I unloaded and hauled it into the house.

Too aggrivated to assemble it now..and the guy from Verizon is here to fix the cable..That will go out soon I'm sure!:rofl:

Dave I'd Call UPS call Center and Complain about the driver they are not supposed to handle packages like that. My driver will come to the door and tell that she has heavy boxes for before she goes out to get them, of course I go out and help her with them. And She'd tell you to call in on the driver too.

Maybe the truck caught the line? Seems abit strange to have any kind off line running crossed with your driveway but I'm dutch we got everything under ground anyway and I can't even imagine what an infrastructure would look like ( and work after storms ) if it's not a couple off feet underground :)

Both set to be delivered today, if somebody somehow delayed my packages I'm going to go on a rampage. :mad: That reminds me, I need to get a nice office chair, add it to the list.

I've got you beat, I had about 30 minutes where my friends and i were trying to figure out if my ankle was fractured or severly sprained, no weight able to put on it, swollen to 3x its normal size, the only quote from the experience was " Um dude your ankle looks pregnant"

then i get home to find out no one has any crutches, and i still have to study for 2 tests which i had today... and last but not least, i awoke this morning to find that the advil i took for the pain has caused me to start vomiting stomach bile... before i had to take aforementioned exam.

SO... my 24hrs vs. Yours :D

High Ankle Sprain, swelling has gone down a tiny bit, still cant bear much weight on it.. but being 22 helps recover a bit faster,

I did, really pissed me off. I do all I can to make the delivery guys job easy.
Any time there's something big being delivered I'm here to help with it.
Get thye guys ice water in the summer and coffee in the winter. If I see the truck pulling in I go out to the truck to try and save them time.
I told all that to the woman from UPS when she called back last night.
Told her that I have no problem with something being left at the door but a package thats a 3ft cube can't be carried by one person without a 2 wheeler.
The guy was here and gone in under 20 seconds.

Guy had a 24 ft box truck that was tall and snagged the wire and yanked the retaining bolts(J Hooks) right out of the house.
