I still use an old CRT, which has served me well and is pretty good as far as CRTs go, but it's starting to fall short as I'm pushing the resolution higher, and I'm ready to make an upgrade.

I primarily use my computer for gaming, and I'll spend somewhere in the area of $400 (USD) on this. I'm pretty lenient on the price, as I know this will be an investment, but that should give you some idea of the price range I'm in right now. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

What makes that monitor good for gaming? On their web site, it seemed to be marketed primarily towards home office use and didn't say anything about gaming performance.

It's a TN panel, as with most budget monitors. But it has good response time, so it should be good for gaming. You get a lot of screen for the money. It's not a photo editors monitor, but that'd run in the $900-1500 for a 24". You could get a higher end 22", but I don't like 22" because it's the same res as a 20". So you can get a decent 24" for your money or a higher end 20" are the best options.
