why is there sucha huge difference in the temperatures of my 2 cores? are these actual temps or is this a bug?

yeah, Everest shows the same thing for my 2 cores... but it also shows an average temp between the two. im mainly just wanting to know why the 2 cores read such different temps...

Could be a bad mount on your heatsink. Which heatsink/waterblock are you using? I'd definately try remounting it.

im using an Asus Arctic Square HSF with srctic silver 5 compound. im pretty sure the heat transfer is good i lapped the heatsink and the cpu to a mirror finish and i burned the arctic silver in for a week. the HS is on very tight... thats why i think is a bug or something... but all temp sensor programs read the same thing

its a buggy cpu or motherboard sensor.
there is no way that your cpu is running at 9C on air. you need phase change or tec for that. the other core temp is the correct one.

actually it WAS running at 9C... lol. i had my computer ina window and its was snowing outside... i was tryign to squeeze the most out of 3dmark witht he help of mother nature =P lol... :D
