Hi, I've just got my 2 9600GT's today. I've installed them in the system and I just get crashing issues in all games, they got through 3dmark 05 and 06...

When I play BFV BF2 or Frontlines (only games ive tested) after about 10 minutes I get a tear across the screen then the sound starts to repeat itself and the screen flickers extremely quickly. Evetually ending up on a plain black screen? Im currently using 174.16 drivers from the nvidia website WHQL of course. I've also tried 174.31.

I'm starting to get rather annoyed!

Anybody got any ideas?

Well, at first I thought inadequate power? What power supply do you have? (Picture of the sticker).
I'm pretty sure it takes 700W+ to run SLI.

If you have good power, watch the temperatures. I don't think a power issue would cause tearing, but, I think that it would probably be overheating, causing artifacts, and eventually a shutdown?

Try playing again, use something, and log the temperatures?

it sounds like the cards are overheating. Monitor the temps with RivaTuner and make sure the core doesn't get above 90C. Personally, I would consider 60C to be hot but I see people with stock cooling on their cards getting well above that on load. The GTX idles at around 57C I believe.

Just make sure the temps don't exceed 90C

Tempratures seem fine, 34c idle 53c load according to rivatuner 2.07.

I think it might be a power issue, this psu has been quite poor to be honest.

"I think it might be a power issue, this psu has been quite poor to be honest."

minumum 700watt TRUE powersupply is needed, until then rule out anything else.a good $200 powersupply is the basics for sli...

what powersupply are u running??????(please answer this question)if not no one can help u.

if power supply is totally taken out of the equation then read below.

X-Fi Xtreme Music -go to creatives site right now!and grab the software autoupdate for starters.my X-Fi Xtreme Music was buggy MANY times with single gtx in it before i got the update on the creative site.

this may sound like a strech but keep the cards at STOCK being the lowly
e4300 might not be enough cpu power to push those in sli?just a thought.
e6400 minumum i imagine would do the trick o\c to 3.2 minumum.
