I want to put together a media center PC. My big concern is I have a Digital set top box with DVR & HDTV channels through Cox Communications. I'm trying to figure out what card I should use for my TV in that will give me the full range of channels digital cable provides with HD channels. I'm going to pick up a ATI 3870 card for the output to my tuner via HDMI then HDMI to TV for surround sound and HD picture. Any advice on cards for this would be great and any pit falls to watch out for.

Are you going to use Windows MCE on it?

I use two Hauppauge tuners in my Linux media center. Keep in mind, that you must get a tuner that supports the HD signal, and that you'll also need to keep your cable company's box to receive subscription channels (for now).
