I just got 4 HDDs and I will be creating a RAID 10 on my ICH9R. After creating the array using Intel's Matrix manager, I want to create 3 logical partitions to boot XP, Vista, and data. I'm wondering if there will be any noticeable performance penalty using 3 partitions vs 1 partition on this array. Various web searches have turned up conflicting answers to this question.
Also, does Vista Ultimate have RAID drivers for ICH9R included, or do I need a floppy? Thanks.
